Toronto and Vancouver are nuts. It's like a city wide competition to seek out things to get offended by. I saw a BLM protest in Toronto protesting the Canadian government for about a movement in another country. Like what was the expectation?
If we're talking about protests, my favorite was seeing some local chapter of some lame Nobody Gives A Shit lefty group try and ride the coattails of a city supported event. The city regularly holds this event, brings in bands, food, sets up a beer garden, all that. Well obviously these protesters were able to realize that they had zero hope of anyone coming to attend an event just for them and whatever their stupid cause was, so they instead decided to ruin an event that wasn't even remotely associated with them and waste tax payer dollars in the process. There were like five or six of these losers huddled up in a corner of the festival, all dressed to the nines with ever-so-catchy t-shirts and with their little picket signs, but the coup de grace was a giant sign depicting a dead ICE agent with something like "The only good one is a dead one" written underneath.
So, not only did these little shits insist on trying to make this city sponsored general festival about them, but they brought that garbage in with them and proudly broadcasted it to all the children playing, all the police just doing the rounds, all the people just out to enjoy the day. I still hope those little dipshits ended up hurting their cause more than they realize. I heard A LOT of people making very unflattering comments as they walked by.
