I recommend removing downvoting capability from comments too, or remove comment votes altogether. This isn’t a popularity contest and shouldn’t be mob rule censorship like Reddit.
I think it's important to be able to downvote with an overall count. We get trolls and we don't want it to appear as if we like something that we don't.
Also, upvotes and downvotes drive the conversation and that's part of social media and part of the conversation dynamic.
