Last night, I was in line to vote in the Texas primary. Two young ladies were behind me, chatting loudly about how it was their first time voting.

Another woman behind them said "So glad to see you young people coming out! I assume for Bernie!"

One of the young girls says "Um, Bernie? We're voting for the President! He's getting things done!"

The other woman's jaw dropped, her eyes widened, she went pale, and her hands were shaking.

I've never seen an actual triggering in person before. It was glorious.

Just like when they try to conflate illegal immigrants with legal ones and are shocked when the legal immigrants are firmly against illegal immigration and open borders.

The only people who say TX is purple are Democrats that aren't from TX. They have been getting plastered here for 30 years and it's not changing anytime soon.

Yep. My family are blue collar democrats in Texas, and they’re under no illusions that Texas is Red. Poor Dad has massive TDS.

My dad also suffers from severe TDS, so I completely understand.

Same story with my dad, though I doubt it's quite as bad since Mueller investigation concluded.

Ted Cruz is a very unpopular candidate. Where I live in west central Texas, the general sentiment was "vote against Beto". No one I know was excited for Cruz. For reference, the Tea Party still wields a fair amount of influence out here, so you'd think there'd be greater support for him. It just wasn't there.

Cornyn will win by 8 points.

Yeah. He kinda seems like he’s a Born-Again MAGA. His podcast is off the hook.

This. Had massive amounts of illegals pouring in in the early 2000's (thanks GWB) and every year we get a new wave of their US born kids turning 18 years old and eligible to vote.

I can confirm. I'm a Texas resident. We're not purple down here. Only the Dallas and Houston metropolitan areas are blue. Austin is too but we don't claim that crazy town. Lol.

H-town here can confirm Harris county is about as corrupt as they get. At local polling place lots of Democratic signs... 0 Republican.
There was even a guy there harassing R voters. And polling judge did nothing.

Houston is a blue swamp/toilet. I got in the Republican line and people made rude noises and stared at the handful of us voting on that side. At least I got to vote for Trump and trigger some libs.

So Trump is up 1MM+ votes in a primary while he is the incumbent.

Wow..

The real question is: Does calling it blue or purple qualify as "messing" with it?

3
Russian-bot_2point0 3 points ago +3 / -0

He’s got that many votes and there are many republicans not bothering to vote in the primary because Trump is running unopposed basically
