It was during the debate where Dr. Ben didn't hear his name called. and hesitated to walk out. Donald stood by his side, which showed real character. From that moment on, I trusted that he would be great for our country. What was your moment?

I didn't trust him at all. I thought he was a NY liberal in disguise. I did some business with someone who was involved in a project with Trump. Something he said stuck with me ... "the only one who ever made money on a Trump deal was Trump." That was years ago, but it colored my opinion.
Fast forward to 2016. I was Cruz guy. After years of the GOP kabuki theater, I thought he presented the best chance for some real reforms. After he went down, I never thought about not voting for Trump, even though a few of his supporters were complete assholes at the time. I recall thinking, even if he does 10% of what he promised, it's better than anyone since Reagan and it will be the polar opposite of that crooked drunk hag, so I never had any thoughts of not voting for Trump.
The moment I started thinking that he actually may be legit was when I heard Pence (by then his running mate) on Levin. Pence said, very seriously, something along the lines of "I've sat down and had deep discussions with Trump, and he's the real deal. He means what he says and will be great for this country. I wouldn't be behind him if he wasn't." Something in the way he said it as much as what he said sold me.
I was still a reluctant Trump voter when I voted for him in '16, but can't wait to pull the lever in '20.
