As you can see, Win is back up.
At 6:44am EST, Win's primary host terminated our services.
We've switched to a different provider and are pursuing long term solutions.
There is no scenario where we will be bullied into shutting down, we are here for the long haul.
It is more important than ever that you share The Donald with all the Trump supporters in your life.
Lease rackspace in a datacenter. Place your servers in said rackspace. Pay for bandwidth.
Even then, the datacenter might be able to boot you depending on the contract.
As much as I hate Bezos, we have 70+ server instances running on AWS, without a hiccup... ever... a few of those sites definitely piss leftists off. We've fielded complaints from the lunatic left, and AWS support has always maintained that they are a delivery network, and have nothing to do with content. If it breaks no US law, they're out of it. (which surprised me).
AWS may not be a good option for TD, but its worked for us for years... and worked very well. we push content near the edge via the AWS CDN, with no problem at all, with DDOS protection etc...
I can't help thinking that cloudflare is a potential problem down the road... (given their history), perhaps putting the primary host up on PRQ isn't a bad idea either...
Just thinking out loud...
I 100% back your opinion. I would choose AWS... fast, secure, inexpensive. I would choose no other.
