A national network of Mother Restaurants where a vet can eat for free and be talked to by someone, a woman, with knowledge of military life.
They come back to a society that doesn't know what military life is like. They need a place to feel accepted but that is not in itself a military setting. A mother figure and food.
The acceptance by a woman is important to a returning warrior. He fought for her. For him to be all right, he has to feel a woman, even a symbolic figure bringing food in an apron, appreciates that.
It must only be for vets. Not the general public.
There should be some psycho-medically trained people around too.
Maybe veterans need to renounce their citizenship and re-enter the country illegally to get the benefits they deserve.
Wow. Excellent point.

Communal eating means something.
Unfortunately one is not a constant number.
If both were constant than this makes sense.
Also there are more than 100k veterans but with only 100k coronavirus infected, ~100 die per day.
Veterans are also one of the highest at risk to this virus due to age and health complications.
To be fair I think it's a lot more people than just one.
A-fuckin'-men to that!!!
