You have to respect the man for taking an ass beating from GEOTUS (which he did) and swallow his pride to do what’s best for the country rather than petty revenge. Lion Ted indeed.

And he really seems to be a Trump fan while fighting for the President’s agenda. I voted for him in the primary before I realized what a gem Trump was.

It's the beard what did it for me

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, Rubio got his ass kicked and never got over it, just not as blatant as Romney, because he knows he wouldn't be re-elected if he went full retard.

It’s always amazing to see a politician realize that it’s ok to have a genuine personality.

Took a few seconds and the penny dropped. Nice one!

SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

I always liked Cruz. I would have voted for him in 2016, except for the fact that he flip flopped on TPP, which made me suspicious of him.

If you remember back in the primary, Cruz didn't really attack POTUS until they were the last 2 left

jzed 24 points ago +24 / -0

He pivoted pretty quickly once he realized his old schtick wasn't working in the Trump era. I'm still unsure how genuine it is. He has been in politics most all of his working life after all. I'll wait and see what he does post-Trump in 2024.

Drinkup4 20 points ago +20 / -0

I trust him to be more genuine than Graham.

7
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 7 points ago +7 / -0

That's setting a low bar.

6
yukondave 6 points ago +6 / -0

It just may be the previous version was the mask and this is the real Cruz. Don't forget who ran the party before. McCain, Ryan, Romney type folks. He had to get along with them. He picked a side.

Yep, I really like this new Cruz. The dude despises him some commies and loves his country. Was skeptical at first but you can tell its genuine and he actually seems like he's having a blast the last few years. Trump gave him his balls back.

2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

It was nice of Trump to give him his balls back, considering President Trump is the one that took them from him in the first place

I_Am_My_Own_God 1 point ago +1 / -0

SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

He worked for both the federal and state gvt, but didn't run for office till 2012. He didn't pivot all that much, he just wasn't willing to push things as far as President Trump is

15
dudeduderson 15 points ago +15 / -0

He taught him to stop acting like a politician and start acting like a person.

After listening to cruz's podcast, i now understand we needed Trump in our public discourse because it was hijacked by fags (its 2020, fag no longer means gay) who believe the 'way' you talk and 'sounding smart' were more important than common sense, substance and reality.

4
Cacciali_Via 4 points ago +5 / -1

Has Cruz changed his personality, or has he just outsourced his twitter? I supported him until Trump presented his platform, but damn was Cruz wooden, greasy, and unlikable. Like a car salesman/televangelist.

I haven't been keeping up. What is a good slur for gays then?

Callofthewild 11 points ago +13 / -2

I want him to run for president in 2024. I think he would be a great candidate to keep our movement going.

12
L0GICAL_V0TER 12 points ago +12 / -0

Only if we get Lion Ted and not the Neutered Lying Ted from 2016.

Funny thing is he was like this prior to 2016 too. It was only after he had to look "presidential" that he went down hill.

4
Callofthewild 4 points ago +4 / -0

Hopefully he will see that we want a "disrupter" type rather than textbook politician if he runs again. Maybe we will continue to see this side of him.

4
L0GICAL_V0TER 4 points ago +4 / -0

I really hope so.

As soon as he hitched his wagon to that wacky cuck Glenn Beck he was dead to me. Next thing you know he was bringing soccer balls and teddy bears down to the border like a fucking RINO trolling for misleadia love. It was disgusting and disappointing to say the least.

I like Jr. too. He's a gunslinger. You know he'd work every single day to protect 2A.

2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think Jim Jordan is the Better choice. I like Cruz, but he has done some things which make me wonder if he is beholden to big business.

6
MsAnthropic 6 points ago +7 / -1

Agreed. I think he’s the best bet for 2024, Trump has taught him how to fight.

6
mintscape 6 points ago +6 / -0

I think he's funny and good to have on our side but I just can't trust him. Seems like a chameleon that changes to fit in with whomever has power.

4
cincydan 4 points ago +4 / -0

Would vote for him in a heartbeat...absent Jr.

2
Feelsgoodman 2 points ago +2 / -0

VP to Jr?

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

JR is not battle tested. He is a good guy and has the right policies like his father, but he is not as charismatic or as battle hardened as his father.

Jim Jordan 2024

Cruz seems like a legit stand up dude. I remember when I thought he wasnt. I think there was genuine concern among republicans if or how seriously president elect Trump was.

It was a hard fought battle between Cruz & Trump and it got a little nasty. I am sure there's regret on both sides, but lion Ted came around faster then most, if not all, despite embattled & all eyes on him. Since, Cruz has stood tall & stood correct. I commend him for that

0
Cacciali_Via 0 points ago +1 / -1

Faster than most? That's not the impression I got at the convention.

I do not trust Cruz on immigration. Not a bit.

4
crusadetiem 4 points ago +4 / -0

Dude's like Captain America.

He even grew a beard.

3
DonaldMagaTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

Cruz probably thanks God every night he wasn't elected POTUS after seeing the hell POTUS has been put through.

3
lyintedscrews 3 points ago +3 / -0

I almost changed my username after the election. Almost.

3
MythArcana 3 points ago +3 / -0

He got better.

2
Kekception 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lion Ted now. He took an ass kicking from trump and still supports him. I’ll save my judgment post 2024

2
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 2 points ago +2 / -0

I like what I see from him now, but then again I liked what I saw from him prior to the 2016 campaign too. His campaign was an absolute shit show as he donned full RINO regalia and proceeded to play cuckservative with his buddy Glenn Beck. He has done a lot to redeem himself since, but I absolutely will still hold it against him if he runs for President again and will be keeping watch for any hint of that 2016 fuckery returning.

2
Arkansas_Patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here. I couldn’t stand this dude for a few years, but he has really improved on a lot of my criticisms of him. He’s also genuinely funny as hell. I love every time he is on Crowder. Would love to meet him one day. I wish we could have a dude like this in AR but we have to settle for Cotton..

2
SnowflakeJuice 2 points ago +2 / -0

Cotton isn't bad, could have been worse, Ben Sasse, Romney, Rubio, Lying Lindsey etc.

2
BecauseYoudBeInJail 2 points ago +2 / -0

He may be a booger eater with resting cuckface, but dude knows the Constitution better than anyone in Congress since Ron Paul himself.

2
DrGEOTUS 2 points ago +2 / -0

Call me after the opening salvos of the 2024 race. That's when you'll see if he's really changed or just a power driven RINO hack.

2
johnbillaby 2 points ago +2 / -0

No politicians other than Trump are really genuine that I've found, but he seems to be getting to be himself.

1
Tokens_Worth 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Strings Cut"

1
chippedbeefontoast 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same here. He's actually a pretty funny guy too. FYI, he has a podcast called "The Verdict". Give it a listen.

1
humblehonkpillfarmer 1 point ago +2 / -1

Absolutely

1
Ozarkian 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same. He is a little squirrely though. Especially with his weird pop culture references.

1
Margeshrimpson 1 point ago +1 / -0

And some dude named Francis thought he could take on Cruz

1
Classic 1 point ago +1 / -0

wow, Kevin from The Office grew a beard!

1
covfefe2525 1 point ago +1 / -0

Gotta agree with you.

Think he’s A/B testing the beard for GEOTUS’ second term? :)
