To start he wants open borders which is a deal breaker in itself. You can have open borders and Medicare for all.
Second, He likes to compare us to Denmark and Norway, but Denmark has a 50% income tax and a 25% VAT (value added tax to goods) and Norway has a 55% income tax. Not to mention that Denmark is not even the size of New York in population....Yet Bernie never brings any of these points up.
Bernie talks about taxing the "Billionaires" but if they move their money around, then what?
His 15 dollar minimum wage had been tried and everywhere it has been tried, businesses have had to cut hours and jobs and sometimes close down.
And doesn't Norway pay for a lot of it's social systems with oil money (oil rich country; they pump off the coast I think)? I hope I'm not remembering that wrongly.
