In 2010 Nashville got hit by a massive flood. It caused 2.3 billion dollars in damages which makes it the 25th worst natural disaster the country has ever experienced.
The press didn't cover it. In fact, they were so bad at their coverage that Sheppard Smith, on the following Monday, apologized for Fox News' poor coverage of the event.
I postulate that the reason coverage was so poor is because there was no lawlessness. The was no looting or riots. The community got together, put their work boots on, and just cleaned it up. Nothing more sensational than a bunch of water coming up to the roofs of houses to report.
This disaster is tiny compared to that and it will be cleaned up within 3 months. It's not the first tornado that Nashville and it's suburbs have seen in recent times. It's also not the most powerful the Nashville Metro area has seen in recent times. It is the most deadly though.
A year later, the press barely covered the 2011 Tornado Outbreak that hit most of the South. Reality is, the press has always been the Ivory Tower types that hate self-reliance, which is 95% of the South.
No shit, I'll never forget Connie Chung's comments towards us Oklahomans after the the Murrah bombing in '95, basically thought we were a bunch of backwards bumpkins that needed a hand from the "big city" folks. No thanks, and our NBA team is a better product than anything in NYC right now too!
Hard to do the gentrification of both towns with transplants from California and Chicago is rampant....may be running further east in a few years. Mid-TN is sadly the new Atlanta.
I’m from Cookeville, so great to see a president actually care about a smaller town of around 30,000+. People have bought billboards and everything to show how much we love our president!
You are living in a historic moment, Pede...Trump cares about you and yours, you’ve been thru hell and back in Cookeville. I’m happy too that POTUS got your town’s story into the news!
I was stunned with happiness that President Trump came to your town, Cookeville...you all went thru such tragic things...as a citizen, I felt in my heart that you needed a big solace more then the rest of the country might know. But our President KNEW!!! He is a great man and you are stalwart real deal people
This is so true...I think that ease and certainty is something President Trumps wants the people to feel...he is a TRUE leader...we all owe him for getting us to this place!!!
Holy spumoni. I live close to areas that were hit, just began venturing out that direction today knowing electricity was back... I just realized... Saw an unusual formation of military helicopters flying from the direction of the Nashville airport today... POTUS above? Lord Jesus, bless that man and our wonderful Governor Lee...
If it is live, it is likely being uploaded over an internet infrastructure that suffered a bit from ... the tornado, and the load placed on it at this moment is likely high.

If only everyone was as insightful and evenhanded, well done pede.
THIS!!!

But BOLTONS got damaged :(((((((((((
Prince's is way better. BTW, has the old location opened back up yet? I go to the (close to) Nippers Corner location, so I don't know.
I heard the Cajun navy is headed up there to help y’all, they’re good people who help out all over the south after mostly flooding events
I hope they help out Mt Juliet and Lebanon first before they go to the liberal havens of Germantown and East Nashville.
Mt. Juliet and Lebanon will take care of ourselves. I don't want any help from Nashville.
Bless y'all and keep a tight reign on your city councils... let Nashville be a cautionary tale.

Wow angry shill brigade is in full force in here.
What kind of creeps downvote a tragic event!!!
LeftWingNuts.
They must have just woke up, not seeing this on other posts
Big time. Downvote brigade is getting paid today.
It's all they have. They are weak, impotent little children. Clicking an icon on their little screens is all they can do. PATHETIC. And they KNOW it.
The tornado destroyed my city. Thank you Mr president
Extended family got a couple of pics of AF1 about to land at BNA:

President Trump was just 1000yds from my house! i know that seems silly to celebrate, but holy [email protected]#$%!
I’m not sure why this is so downvoted...
Paid Shills
Is this grass roots? ??

Trump: "Keep Nashville in our prayers"
Dems: "That's all!? Why don't you do something useful like go over there and help, blumpf!"
Trump: Visits Nashville
Dems: "That's all!? Why haven't you given them more money to rebuild, blumpf!?"
Dems are the biggest hypocrits. You see Bloomberg offering to spend half a billion dollars to help victims in a red state? Nope.
The energy of this man is incredible. Most everyone takes it for granted.
This is so true...I think that ease and certainty is something President Trumps wants the people to feel...he is a TRUE leader...we all owe him for getting us to this place!!!
I am still really wondering if there is only one Trump. He seems to be everywhere.
I had a tree fall over and knock down my fence
I live a bit north of Nashville. I'm going to go volunteer down there this weekend. Hope to see some pedes there. https://nashville.citymomsblog.com/nashville-tornado-relief-how-you-can-help/

“Press, back to the cars.”
Bravo!
No need for a giant cluster of charlatans to ogle people in grief.
wow fox needs some better equipment, this footage looks like it could be from the 80s.

The down voting of great comments by liberal cucks compells me to toss GETOUS $20 MAGA.
They are just so pathetic. It makes me laugh.
