A lot of these college kids have less knowledge of math, American history, basic core academic subjects than everyday tradeskill people I meet. I mean its not just they have no life skills or common sense, I can't see what formal education they've gained from those 4 years.
Part of the problem is the kids in college aren't getting a real education. Neither are the high schoolers below them. We've reached the Dumbing Down of America that was written about so many decades ago.
The second problem is how these poorly educated people with a Masters in underwater basket weaving now walk into a company, demand $40,000 a year to start, then throw temper tantrums when their boss dares to tell them they need to brush up on a couple of skills.
