In all seriousness black people have a huge opertunity here:
The only voters that really matter are swing voters. Politicians will do anything for swing voters. Every election cycle they try to work up their base but wins and losses are almost always whatever swing voters say.
Black people have not been swing voters for a long time. Something like 90% of black people over the past 70 years have voted only democrat.
Suburban women have been much more likely to swing vote in that same time period and it shows. Politicians seem to do anything for suburban women. The biggest election issues are about whatever suburban women want. However, momentum in democracy politics goes away after success. Extreme elements try to revive momentum with extreme positions but this also drives away moderates. Suburban women have finished the cycle. Now they are now divided into moderate “safety” voters and extremist “feminism” voters.
Black voters could take the momentum now. If black voters voted for Trump by at least 30% the political calculus would shift to black issues. Pundents would say that black people elected Obama and black people elected Trump and that now we are starting a new political era where black issues decide elections. The politicians would fall all over themselves to get black votes. Black people would hold onto power as long as they are willing to swing vote.
What exactly are the black issues that will be pandered to?
From what I have seen, they are reparations, blaming the white man for their current condition, and asking for yet more special gibs and treatment under the law.
No. Those are the extreme issues that get all the attention right now.
Only extreme issues ever get attention in a non-important electorate. Black votes don’t matter because black voters are not swing voters. So the only other way to get attention is to become extreme.
However, if black voters did swing this election over to Trump then then black voter issues could get attention without turning to extreme positions. Things like school choice, welfare exit programs, equal protection for fathers in family law, and increased police effectiveness could become issues that benifit black voters.
Ultimately, black people in America need to start making more money. I didn’t say “given” more money. I said “make” more money. Helping black Americans realize this goal would not just benifit black Americans. If 15% of the country doubled their productivity the the GDP would grow by 7%.

We’ll see
I wish "black people" could just be American People.
That's sounds very depressing.

None of those will help blacks or the nation.

90% vote left for life. In 2018, they voted Dem at 98% rates.
