We should prioritize training American workers to fill open jobs here rather than importing more foreign workers. This goes for H1B and H2B.
The unfortunate problem is that so many people in this country are lazy and entitled and many of the people we import have a better work ethic, so there's no simple one size fit's all solution.
Since H2-B visas are for special skills where an American can't do the job why not put a $40K annual fee on each H2-B visa.which can be used by Americans for technical training. The $40k charge should help reduce the number imported
