I want to do my part and open the eyes of those who had the wool pulled over their eyes from liars like Sanders and the DNC.
But everyone is so stuck in their ways and downright hostile to the right. I went to a pro Sanders subreddit and debated people and while most people were pretty respectful, it wasn't long until someone looked at my post history and saw r/thedonald and everyone went REEEEEEE you're a nazi, a fascist, a Trumptard, a pol tard!
How do you red pill? Do you try to have honest discussions and provide evidence? Do you meme the truth to uplift the leftards?
Almost everyone who needs a pill have one thing in common above and beyond policy - they despise Trump. I've softened targets by finding agreement. I tell people that I dislike Trump as a person, his tweets are sometimes insane and that I'd much rather toss back a couple beers with Obama.
Hasving established common ground, I then move on with "I may dislike him as a person, but I can't argue with his results. Jimmy Carter was a super descent man, but......"
It hasn't always worked, but in many cases I've found that it is easier to talk policy and results if you immediately destroy their fall-back position with false empathy.
A bit of harmless deception.
