I wish his older brother Fred got to see what he's accomplished

RIP Fred. :(

A reminder that alcohol kills. If you love your family, quit drinking.

You don't know much about addiction. Addiction , you know....makes you do stuff without you being able to control it. Hense the word "addiction".

Some people can't control the drug alcohol as well as others and you don't know at the beginning. You don't get to control anything when you are addicted.

To say otherwise does people a disservice because you tell them they can control it, and then guess what...they are dead now because they thought they could control it.

Alcohol is poison, pure and simple. It literally irritates every organ in your body. And it's a drug, never forget that

I have always absolutely been able to drink responsibly, but recently I made the decision to pretty much cut it out entirely and I must say it makes my life better. I was doing fine drinking moderately, but since drinking nada I have more energy, more money, and better health and attitude. If doing without it will make your life better, it's kind of irrational not to.

You’re horribly wrong: the second most common cause of death from alcoholism is esophageal erosion. It’s how my brother died and he was less than 50 years old.

I look at my family tree and I see what alcohol did to us. Do we have bad genes? I don't know, and I'm not going to find out.

If you're one of the rare types that can control alcohol rather than have it control you -- good on you bro. But a lot of us aren't.

Yep ever since cutting out alcohol a year ago I've noticed just how many people truly are dependent on it. Between coworkers, friends, family, and neighbors I'd say 70% of our country has a dependency on alcohol and very few people are truly not dependent.
