That won't be the end for western civilization, but it will surely be the end for the EU. More members will quit and it will disintegrate like the old soviet union.

If demography is destiny, nobody can save them. Besides we've got our own battle with caravans!
They can be saved if there's a will for it. Most of Europe may not be able to conjure it, however.
