Ex Californian here, can confirm it's a total shit show. What used to be a crime or at least warrant a police response is now brushed off. Can't tell you how many times we'd catch someone for theft etc, have all our ducks in a row, only to have PD basically say they weren't going to do shit because they won't be prosecuted anyway so just let them go.

We need a wall around that ass backwards state, it's a threat to the rest of the country.
