If Trump operated according to good optics of liberals, he would never have won the presidency, let alone the GOP primary.

Whether or not rallies should be canceled or postponed because of virus concerns is a fine thing to consider, according to the actual data about the virus. Liberal optics should have no bearing on the decision whatsoever. It would also run counter to what he's been trying to do with words--which is to lessen fears and instill confidence. Canceling his own rallies would communicate a lack of confidence and increase in fear. That's not good optics.
