Anyone else getting those private messages that accuse the mods of fabricating this entire thing to drive traffic to .win? I've gotten two in the last week. Seems like some folks are really worried about this site.

They should be, the amount of traffic TD got was crazy, if you looked at the amount of comments, not likes they are BS, it was clear how active this forum was over there.
Also, they are terrified that they have no mode of control here. They’re fucked

If Bernie cared about his cause more than his reputation, none of what you say would matter. But that’s the problem, ultimately he is a fraud. He’d fold in an instant if he had to put up with 1/10th of what Trump faces.

I've seen posts about it, but it just reads like concern trolling to me. Why should reddit get our traffic and revenue?
T_D is a weird place now. There are people who seem to genuinely prefer being reamed by admins there to 'admitting defeat'. It's weird as fuck.

They do this free of charge. Their motivation is supporting the President to get him re-elected. I don’t think anyone is worried about this site, per se.
The mods want more users and lots of memes. I haven’t seen any type of ploy to steal users from anywhere. Right now they are offering a more comfortable platform for Trump and his supporters which is drawing people from less desirable social media sites.
There's a little secret you need to know about reddit. Much of their activity on default subs is bots selling stuff. They filter it out but still use the counts to sell advertising. We were one of the most active subs with real people. I discovered this when the filter broke in world news one day, and I discussed the situation with a moderator.

There were some concern trolls on r/T_D saying asking what the mods’ motivation was haha...it’s not like the admins hammering us was just a conspiracy theory. The clock was ticking.

I have gotten several of these messages, yes. They always allege things like Reddit controls .win, and this site is a gulag of communist re-education. I always call them on their bs and ask for substantive reasons for their claim. They always respond the same way: 0 intellect, 0 reasons, 100% repeat of the same baseless accusations. If it's a bot it's damned good AI. I think they're just really bad people
I haven’t gotten that message. I have gotten 3 warning messages about upvoting rule breaking g content, which seems to be a record, so I would think I would have gotten the message you refer to.
In any case, I upvoted this post because I believe it’s important to confront all rumors head on.
If you break everything down rationally, surely it is foolish to continue using Reddit after what they have done to free speech, especially ours. So, I see no reason to support this site unless we are given reason otherwise.

I had the same convo, just with someone else. I just asked if anyone knew about the outage and the dude replied "We don't care about TDw here". Unsettling.
