Acadia National Park in Maine, Lake Powell between Utah and Arizona.
I second Acadia. I went camping there. Super pretty.
I will never forget kayaking in Somes Sound, getting almost sucked out to sea by the powerful tide and then getting pushed back several hours later.
Camping and eating lobster: I don't think my life got any better than that until I had kids.
All true, and nobody even knows about, generally speaking.
