Hope this is okay to post here. Looking at taking a holiday to the USA in President Trumps second term. There seems to be so many beautiful places, just wondering if you guys have any favourites?

Stay out of the cities. Human filth thrives there.

Get out to the more rural areas.

I myself love Big Bend Ranch State Park and that area in TX. I love all of Utah also. The area around Yosemite is super cool. Little known extinct volcanoes are directly to the east that you can climb on.

If you want to go to BFE, I recommend Lava Beds National park, in CA near the Oregon border. Lots of cool caves you can explore, and the campsites are very close to the caves so you can sneak in later at night after they are closed with your vodka tonic and doobie.

Death Valley is super boring for most people. The drive is very long and there is not a lot of there there. It has the lowest point in America or the world, 282 FT below sea level. Trust me: not exciting.

For my money I'd just drive up Highway 1 on the coast of CA.
