Hope this is okay to post here. Looking at taking a holiday to the USA in President Trumps second term. There seems to be so many beautiful places, just wondering if you guys have any favourites?

What do you want, do you want to hang out in cities and gawk at museums or see the country and play?

Short list of possibilities, covering a few ideas. I never want to visit cities myself, so those we'll skip for the most part.

If you want to relax on the beach, the Florida Keys are Magical. From Key Largo to Key West you can have as much sparkling clear water, great fishing and relaxation as you want, stay away from Miami getting there. I prefer to play on the Gulf side; the keys separate the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a long national park stretching through a couple states, great scenery and old Americana, simply beautiful.

Further north the north east states offer some beauty, along the Hudson River, just avoid NY city. Niagara Falls is up there, worth seeing once anyhow.

Follow the Great Lakes on out to Chicago, go into the city to visit and get out quick, keep your head on a swivel there.

Take a riverboat down the Mississippi river, you can board them most anywhere along the river, from New Orleans to Saint Paul Minnesota.

Imma save the best for last, so we'll skip on out to the west coast, California is maybe worth a quick visit, San Diego and a few other places are still 'ok' to visit. I'd avoid LA and San Francisco tho, those places have weird human problems, pretty but full of wretched beings you don't wanna touch.

The Pacific Northwest is pretty, but again you can stumble into humanity you'd rather not inspect closely.

Arizona is great, if you like desert, not much to do there tho but great for motorcycling.

Colorado is beautiful if you like mountains, go up Pikes Peak or camp on Saint Mary's Glacier.

BUT, the best bang for my buck is Texas, Muh Texas. Specifically the Texas Hill Country, whether you just want to tour or play, it's all here. White water rafting on the Guadalupe River or scuba diving in Canyon Lake, touring the wineries or the Alamo, heli-hunting hogs or floating down the river, finding little bands playing in honky tonks and drinking beer, plus the best Tex-Mex food you'll ever!

We have beaches and forest too, desert and plains, I can do everything right here, never have to leave. People are friendly - stay out of the big cities! - and prices are very good compared to most of the rest of America.

Enjoy, and stay out of the cities, mostly they are leftist hellholes, all over. If you want to do something in a city, NY or Austin, New Orleans or Miami, get in and get out, plan it well.

But come visit our countryside, we'll make you love it.

Thank you you so much for taking the time to write all this. This is incredibly helpful and thank you for going above and beyond with the links. The only city I want to go to is DC, pretty much to go to the Smithsonian and see the white house, Abraham lichon etc. This has made me so keen to go road tripping around Texas. Is it legal in texax for a non American to go to a gun range and try shooting?

Yep, you can rent and shoot with no problems, as long as you don't act stoopid. Most of the folks who run gun shops/ranges take their jobs seriously, they eyeball customers pretty well to make sure no laws or SAFETY rules are in danger. Don't have liquor on your breath, and if you have pink hair wear a hat...KEK! Folks with bad attitudes usually get asked to leave, but be polite, explain you are a novice (if you are) and they'll be happy to assist you with some base safety training and let you shoot.

If you have time/money you might even book a heli-hogging trip, they fly you out in a chopper, give you a rifle, find you herds of hogs to slaughter and you just blast them. We are over-run with feral hogs here, farmers pay to have them culled. You would need a Texas hunting license but you can get one online, they have a special one for international visitors. Costs a couple thousand bucks but if you have the money the experience is worth it.

Yeah, OH YEAH you can shoot in Texas, folks around here might ask you if you have a gun, if you say no they'll laugh and ask if you wanna borrow one...

Remember tho, even in Texas stay out of the cities, they are full of socialists, dindonuffins and gimmiedats.
