Claims it is 350 times more lethal than flu although with more testing the mortality rate will drop precipitously. He also intimated that the drop in today's market was due to the virus never mentioning the Saudi/Russia oil dispute. Also claimed that market drop was largest in history. While technically true with the Dow in the 25k-30k range, the 7.8% drop was nowhere near the largest drop in history. He gets a little slippery in bending stats sometime. Still one of the best most times.

He is. To remind everyone that open borders leave us open to disease, and our dependence on China is dangerous.

I had just turned it on when he was talking with Rubio about the supply chain aspect of the whole situation, which is quite eye opening, and I think an incredibly important subject that needs more light shed on it. Looks like I missed the fear mongering!

the REACTION TO coronavirus is far more dangerous than the actual virus

I think he did this to bring more attention to the bit right after the virus, about how China controls the majority of medical supplies we use.

although with more testing

But they won't test.

Limiting testing to the symptomatic and their close contacts had to be done due to limited test kits. With Qwest and Labcorp now producing the kits, widespread testing will occur.

Tucker was right, and the echo chamber on this site is horribly horribly wrong. Ya’ll been played, had our skepticism used against us!

I saw you mention the death rate in a separate post. I think the 30x’s number is inflated because the number of cases isn’t being fully reported. Deaths are being tallied and the numbers disseminated, but not all cases are being reported. This likely would drop the ratio to 2% and even less if the number of cases is being highly underreported. This would still be a 10 fold increase of flu deaths, but it remains to be seen how many will be infected.

I remain optimistic until I see evidence of US hospitals being overwhelmed.

Also the places where it has been most damaging seem to be China and Italy. They are fairly population dense areas. CA/NY are comparable but most of the US is not going to see the same kind of transmission rate.
