Does ANYONE here live somewhere where they'd describe their community or city as "hunkering down"? Has anything actually changed for you? Nothing has for us. I watch what they're saying, and from my point of view, it looks like they're literally just saying things that are totally detached from reality.

I stopped at a grocery store on the way home from work tonight after the wife told me that toilet paper, and other such items had been stripped clean. Nothing! The shelves were fully stocked... so I grabbed some snacks on the way out.

My personal theory about this is that the media has cried wolf so many times that nobody except hardcore MSNBC/CNN viewers take their hysterical shit seriously. This is actually kind of dangerous if there ever really is a national crisis.

Can someone tell me WTF is the deal with toilet paper? If I were getting ready for something bad, it would be food, water, and ammo. Toilet paper? Hell, I've got the local newspaper the dumbass delivery driver keeps leaving in my driveway for that.

I talked to some of my co-workers about this today as well. One of them told me that one of their friends was afraid of being locked in their house for a year! Damn irresponsible MSM is freaking people out. that is the long and short of it.

Everything normal here. Other than the news on TV that is. And the local Meijer and Walmart have plenty of water and toilet paper if you are so inclined.

The DU community is hunkering down. They have bought into the panic hook, line and sinker.
