I just watched the Fox News Bernie Town Hall. He seems like a real sincere guy and so much better at articulating his positions than Biden (Bernie actually has positions). He sounded real romantic, plain, and direct.

Then a girl from Russia asked how he'd prevent Democratic Socialism from turning in to harsh Communism and the whole thing fell apart. He said the same old "This time it will be different, they just didn't do it right" line. Then he pointed to all the small northern countries that are a success. I thought right away, "But those countries have tight borders and a strong national identity that encourages work ethic and denies free loaders." With just a small prodding, he gave up and said he doesn't know much about the current Finland economy. Eeeeeek. He should be an expert as to what is going on there if he hopes to replicate it here. So sad to hear him admit he doesn't understand Finland's current economy.

So, he seems to just repeat the same things over and over and has no depth. Anyone who wants real effective positive change better understand those systems frontwards, backwards, inside, and out. Because even if they do, there would still be unforeseen problems.

Give me Trump any day. You have to know how to win and actually get things done, which Trump knows.

Great take!

Bernie never mentions the 50% income tax rates of Denmark and Norway (along with a 25% VAT for Denmark)....do you think people would go for that here? Fuck no. Not to mention nobody would have any disposable income left to buy anything like cars and our economy would crumble.

Corporate tax rates They all had lower corporate tax rates than the US untill Trump's tax cuts! They are not socialist countries (maybe in the 70's), but they learned from their mistakes.

Norway - 22%

Denmark - 24.5%

Switzerland - 8.5%

Netherlands - 19- 25%

Canada - 15%

Finland - 20%

Iceland - 20%

Germany - 15%

Sweden - 22%

USA - Was 35%, but the Trump tax cuts (2017 Tax Cuts and JOBS Act) lowered it to 21% in 2017!!!!

He sincerely wants full communism, and has for decades. And yes, he doesn’t think.

Bernie Madoff sounded real sincere, too! Why, he had friends with whom he regularly dined, vacationed and handled their investments, all the while robbing them blind. But, hey! He sounded sincere!

Ted Bundy was suave, sophisticated, educated, charming and sincere right up until the moment he dropped the mask and revealed a vicious rapist/serial killer.

To this day most conservatives still buy Reagan's act, ignoring the fact that off-shoring our Industrial base began under him (I'm from Pittsburgh. I remember! I lived it!) He sounded real sincere, and why not? He was all talk.

I don't give a flying fuck about this rich panderer's "sincere" talk. I want to see action, and so far all I've seen from this lying sack is gutless surrender, followed by running off dragging wagon loads of money behind him! No thanks. We've suffered enough of that for decades now. Spare us having it in the oval office ever again.

Eerily good point! What kind of signs do you look for then?

(besides, for instance, Trump's proven track record of results)

My theory is Bernie was always an ugly little gamma cuck. He couldn’t get anywhere with women. So he tried to give himself an edge by being a communist during the Cold War. It also worked for him emotionally because he took that traditional heroic image of America and capitalism and turned it into the popular high school quarterback who always got the girl, and probably his father too. If you know that picture of young Bernie being dragged out of some protest, it looks like a kid being dragged out of a toy store by his parents. Just infantile rage. But this commie shit probably worked for him somewhat and actually got him laid. So that was it, he fell in love with this bullshit and made it his whole identity. And it worked great because one of his greatest skills is just to nag nag nag until he gets his fucking way - not because people agree with him, but because they just want him to shut up. Bernie Sanders would argue as passionately over his human right to use a ten-cent coupon on the Daily Sandwich Special at the local deli as he would for the overthrow of the entire western financial system. He doesn’t need to look deeply into this shit; this is just what a Bernie Sanders does. This is how a Bernie Sanders gets laid. He says he’s a communist and then he nags. But it’s not gonna work on the American People, Bernie. You can’t get into our pants the same way you did those unshaven feminist commune broads. And that’s why you’re out there pouting. You know America isn’t buying what you’re selling.

I like seeing how some strategy that worked in your formative years suddenly becomes your pattern in your life. Good insight.
