Actively touring colleges for my children to attend and one of the top criteria for us how Liberal they are. We have no interest in the traditional ivy league schools. Also visited Virginia - holly cow that is ground zero for Soy Boy World. I said that out loud walking the campus (which is beautiful) and my wife told me not to be so loud. So I retorted even louder, 'what are they going to do - look at them.' What a sad state some of this country is in. <yes, at age 49 i am now the angry old white dude yelling at kids to get off my lawn>
I find that generally a tech school will be less crazy than a normal college. Consider colleges that focus on things like engineering if it's compatible with what your kids want to do.
