I spent 10 years as a day trader, and finally came to the conclusion that it is too irrational as an investment strategy. Shortages in oil production that should have resulted in a higher per barrel price on an index, actually led to a decrease in the index. Irrational currency markets which were driven not by fundamentals but big AI auto traders that dumped strong currencies when a trigger was hit (one that they all were in on, and the non-institutional investor basically paid for). I am not a gambler, but I am 100% serious when I say that sports betting is probably a better investment vehicle anymore, its much more rational.

A comment I read on one post last night said “if anyone makes money on here it’s usually by a complete accident”
