America. Doesn't. Want. Socialism. The only reason socialism ever does well at all is out of desperation. Well you can't sell economic reform in a good economy. Furthermore, the people that start buying into socialism out of desperation quickly see that the opposite is the solution when the opposite does well. Bernie's campaign will die with a whimper, and so will the socialist movement in America. When the left half of the country would rather elect an old fart with dementia that can't put a coherent sentence together than a socialist, I honestly don't know how much louder america can say no to that nonsense.
Yea, the Dem party is definitely pro-socialism but they are stealth socialists (for the most part). They prefer to do it incrementally so it doesn’t set off too many alarms, think death by 1,000 cuts.
