It will be my mission in life to find a way to give Trump a hug if he actually pulls off anything close to this.

Group hug? How about we gather .winners for a group hug?

Are we still doing spez?: unless of course you are scared of one of us giving everyone else the Wuhan virus.

That sounds like a lot of winning.

Well, son of a bitch. Maybe regular Americans could actually sock away some of their own money instead of pissing it away to the rest of the world via our representatives.

Debt jubilee in conjunction with returning to a sound money currency would probably be more effective long term

I have no idea how to do a backflip. But, if anything close to this proposal actually happens, I'm going to learn dammit. I'm going to learn.

Part of payroll taxes are paid by the employer, true. But, part are paid by the employee. And, with less tax to pay, the employer will be able to spend more on wages.

See! This is what I’m saying! 95% don’t know what payroll taxes are or that employers pay half of their employees taxes! It’s the biggest hidden tax in history of taxes.

JohnnyBitcoinCash [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Damn right!

inquimouse 3 points ago +3 / -0

As an employer, I can say these payroll taxes are quite a burden. An employee pays, say, 7% per paycheck out of his pay: the employer pays 7% x (number of employees) per paycheck and has to give the Govt. the collected money and a summary report quarterly. Heaven help you if your reporting isn't satisfactory. The paperwork alone must be very costly to the Govt as well as the employer in manhours.

Taxation is theft.

Change my mind!

Ask 100 employees of a company what a payroll taxes are and I bet they don’t know. Payroll tax is the biggest hidden tax that companies pay for that people don’t appreciate because they don’t know they exist. Whatever you pay in federal taxes your company pays the same for you.

Trump is the best democrat this country has ever had.

Once people see their paycheck without FIT withheld they’ll never want to give it up.

It sounds like phase 1 of a multi phase plan.

Yes. It is really a bold move.

Damn right! And it's a brilliant response to the coronavirus hype/oil market plunge attack launched against him and us.

It would be awesome to have a constitutional amendment outlawing the income tax. National sales tax also has the benefit of encouraging saving and discouraging spending too, which would be fantastic for building real wealth and capital in this country. It would be monumental.

Payroll tax? Is that the 12+% tax that "only 47% of the people pay?"

2
inquimouse 2 points ago +2 / -0

No matter how little you earn it is collected, unlike income tax.

This would wake up the masses.

Why since Washington?

Washington had only one enemy.

I have to leave room for more greatness in the future to occur. We can't put a ceiling on it. Not right now.

Let's go balls to the wall: debt jubilee in conjunction with returning to non-fiat money (don't care if it's a basket of commodities or just PMs)

Catch the rest of the world with their pants down, and truly help the average American long term. Not much to worry about if you no longer have private debt.

Hubby has 1,000+ dollars coming out of his pay each pay period! 2 grand more a month in our hands would be a great help towards developing our retirement land!

3
Magadeth 3 points ago +3 / -0

I had friends posting on zuckbook this money would come straight out of Medicaid and social security

2
inquimouse 2 points ago +2 / -0

The taxes collected are putatively for Medicare and Social Security, but they aren't really covering it now afaik--at least we're always hearing how insolvent those programs are

Guys, if this goes through it will be a fucking killshot. This is way deeper than anyone is realizing.

What happens when you stop paying payroll tax? Your take-home goes up. You realize how much the government is taking.

But then at the end of the year it end and what happens then? Your paycheck goes back down. Everyone, literally everyone, all at the same time, starts making less money and knows 100% that it's for no other reason than that the government is taking it from you.

Take note, BernieBros: This is how you start a revolution.

Astute observations! Everyone, dems included, are going to be pissed just knowing that it's on the horizon that their checks are going to go back down and he can use that by simply promising to extend the tax cut permanently if the people will reelect him and give him a republican house and senate. AT THE SAME TIME, he is saying that these cuts are for coronavirus relief so, he is, in effect, threatening the dems to cut off their funding if they don't stop falsely hyping the coronavirus hoax to try to plunge the economy and stop Trump rallies. So, now he's got them by the balls. They can give up their short term weapon and let him skate back into office or they can keep it and lose their long term weapon - excessive taxation - while he still skates back into office. This was an absolute master stroke. He is so good at creating situations where his only options are winning options. I think it's probably a kill shot whether it goes through or not.

The Dems will shoot down anything Trump wants. They don’t care about us.
