Not only this, but Monsanto patented fucking seeds, fucking life itself. Even if you didn't buy their seeds, if annuals grew the following year, or a seedling ended up in your farm through natural seed transport, they sued the farmers.

The farmers went bankrupt trying to fight because they were tied up and delayed intentionally by Monsanto until their funds dried up and they couldn't afford to continue the legal fight.

Scumbag company.

Aside from the ad-hominem, how is this guy getting downvoted for making a property rights argument? Lads, this is what MAGA is all about. You make it, you keep it. Follow the logic here:

  1. Monsanto invests (and risks) tons to R&D to make better seeds (go research 'Golden Rice')

  2. Monsanto, like any company, must profit from their product to stay alive.

  3. Using Monsanto seeds intentionally without their permission, is a violation of their property (intellectual) rights. It's stealing.

  4. Saying you can't profit from creating and innovating seeds by default means nobody, including Monsanto, will invest to R&D better seeds.

Now, everyone that downvoted this should take a leaf out of OPs book, and read the book which the user name comes from. Ayn Rand - 'Atlas Shrugged'
