Like whatever you want, but there's so much amazing American beer out there that it's a shame if anyone limits themselves to the big mainstream brands.
well, American beer that isnt owned by SABMillerCoorsInBev. That conglomerate isnt even American anymore. SAB stands for "South African Breweries", and InBev is a European company. They buy up a lot of the larger Craft labels or buy a large enough stock to have a say. Then they change the recipe to make it cheaper. Sam is fine, Jim Koch ain't gonna sell out anytime soon. Kona is actually still private, InBev tried, but they kept denying them so they settled for the mainland distribution rights, which gave Kona the ability to reach most of the country and set up satellite breweries in Colorado (I think) and NH. That's why you see them more often. Elysian's slogan is "corporate beer sucks" but they sold at least some interest to InBev so they're full of shit now. Goose Island is partly owned by InBev.
As far as the locks breweries in your state, look up the "People, Power, Beer" project. it's a virtue signaling shill campaign by the ACLU. They have a list of participating breweries, I know of two in NJ here I wont patronize over it: Icarus and Asbury Park Brewing. I dont support the litigation arm of the Democrat Party.
I will only drink Bud, Miller or Coors if I'm somewhere I dont have a choice and I'm in the mood for a beer. Otherwise, if you cant deal with the calories or cost, why are you drinking a beer? Beer is meant to be enjoyed, not pounded in a drinking contest, kegger or for $1 pint night at the corner bar.
Shocking that America’s oldest (and my favorite) brewing company isn’t on there.
Yuengling also makes ice cream (which they made during prohibition and still make to this day!)
