Not once did the media claim Obama was going to let the country die. Not once did the media try to call it The ObamaVirus. Not once did they question his handling of it. Not once did they spread so much fear they created massive drops in the stock market.
The media is using the coronavirus like they've been using every single tornado, hurricane, flooding, etc to try and make Trump look bad.
It really makes me wonder what can be done about this as Freedom of the Press is essential to our country - and they really are making the entire world wake up to their bullshit by keeping this up.. especially if this whole thing does fade out soon. But, we all know that the 1st amendment doesn't cover certain things like defamation, just as it doesn't cover people yelling "Fire!" in a crowded building. Does it cover propaganda? Does it cover coordinated, intentional crashing of US markets to fit their narrative and make the President look bad?
I'm so against the government having more power, but then I also catch myself wondering how far these obviously wrong/very damaging things should be allowed to go. What about if/when Dems get power back? If they're able to do these things when they don't have power, what will come if they do?
I believe that outlets like CNN are now firmly in the foreign enemy propaganda camp. Especially since a good chunk of their funding is from foreign sources. Tokyo Rose was not covered by the first Amendment. Neither should CNN since they are attempting to demoralize and destroy the US. Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon belong in jail. Fredo belongs in a facility for mentally incompetent adults.
They (the corporate media) must be destroyed. They are actively working against our country. There are many ways to do this. I like some powerful, but less dangerous methods. We should immediately sever any foreign ownership of any media outlet of any kind (bye China in Hollywood). Then we should use our monopoly ban hammer and smash them all into little companies. There should never be a super power media company (bye Disney). This buying up every little company into giant monsters should end.
Then do the same to big tech. I think That would be a good start anyway.

Prior to Reagan there were rules forbidding too few players getting hold of too many media companies. There had been dozens if not hundreds or thousands of media companies. Now there are only six.
This virus hysteria is the perfect argument for a border wall and stricter foreign travel. But, the mere mention of that is when they suddenly drop their concern. It’s so easy to call the bluff on a bunch of predictable panic monkeys.

Imagine you’re on that cruise and now need to navigate Japan’s healthcare system, after being quarantined on that ship for weeks, while being infected with covid19, and then figure out how to get home.
If you are not a Japanese citizen, you better have a lot of yen in your pocket if you want to navigate their health care system. Doesn't matter what health insurance you have at home, they don't recognize it and won't treat you long term without cash.
Travelers can check the State Dept. web site for the country they are visiting. Most of the advice is "cash up front, care isn't great, the State Dept. will not pay to get you back to a US hospital."
