It's not bad in the US thanks to Trump. It's getting pretty terrible in Italy. 12,000 infected. 800 dead.

The most important thing in Italy is how quickly it went from "just a few cases" to "Ron Paul Happening."

Careful with numbers like this. Yes Italy has been hit really hard, but you need to keep it framed properly.

  1. Italy has a lot of older people, making the fatality rate higher. I bet you would see the same higher rates for most novel flu strains also.

  2. they haven't tested everyone. There are likely way more cases that went uncounted among younger people.

  3. Italians love touching each other socially. Americans not so much.
