I have nothing against Israel per se but they undeniably influence and interfere in our domestic politics more than any other country. We give them billions in aid. Jewish-Americans are absurdly over represented in government, Wall St, Hollywood etc.

Upvoted you. Israel is pretty much the only ally in the region but if you think they don't subvert us in various ways, well, that's pretty naive.
The United States is like a big gravy train and everyone wants to try and steer it to go their way.
The thing is that there are more than just jews causing problems. Trying to blame it all on "jews" is not only very shortsighted but it gives a pass to other players and takes the focus off thier crimes. (Maybe thats intentional) .
You have to call out individuals and go after them rather than an entire culture. Otherwise you look like a bigot and nobody will hear you.
I'm not religious myself, but if I was, here's what I would be asking:
Is God, or man, sitting in the seats of power in Israel? Do they have a legit temple up from which they talk to the guy and get precise instructions?
No? Then Israeli leadership is subject to the flaws of man, like any government. I've been to Israel, I love the place, but it ain't that different from anywhere else: you can love the country but criticize the government.
I don't think regular folks have any problem with criticizing Israel.
But I do think people get a bit defensive about Israel, because they are sick and tired of the left not just criticizing them, but the demonizing them, and dog whistling the idea that they support Israel's destruction. And yeah I know most "dog whistle" complaints are bogus bullshit that the left uses. In this case I think it totally fits.
Anybody who thinks they should roll over to their neighbors is certainly wrong. Fuck them. Unfortunately, people want us to either suck their dick or hate them with vitriol, we're not allowed to be reasonable anymore it seems.

I don't fully agree with you, but I still up-voted you, because yes, the discussion and the concern, IS allowed.
But you and others may notice that you did not completely condemn an entire race of people for all the ills of America. That's the distinct difference between what is allowed, and what isn't.

Is it really so hard to understand that Criticism isn't hate? Why would you call it hate? Are you, perhaps interested in stiffeling dissent against them? How are they immune to criticism? What gave them this "right"?
You have to be careful, Bill. There ARE people who hate Jews. You can usually identify them by their insistence that jews are a race.
