Then the media goes full on batshit before it even had any effect outside china. And then again to make matter worse when then symptoms came in that it only effects old people and sick people yet they made it seem like it's the fucking Zombie Apocalypse we all kinda want to happen. I thunk this must hurt Biden a lot. Maybe in carefree times they would.find him endearing, but when there is a crisis, no one wants an incompetent leader.
This. They think this hurts Trump just because the market is panicking and going down. So then their rationale is to assume that this will break apart Trump's base and that reasonable, moderate voters will run away from him to... Biden?
Trump's base and reasonable fence-sitters are going to run away from him and vote for a bumbling, gaff machine like Biden thinking that he'll be MUCH better than Trump. This is their thinking? OK lefties, keep thinking that.
It will peak or plateau shortly, and the market will rage back because there is nothing fundamentally weak in the economy. All basic indicators are excellent.
So, as they've done so many times, the Dems will trade a short term win for a long term loss. The market will have recovered, Trump will be able to claim relatively few infections, and 2020 is a lock.
In the end this thing will be a story people will discuss with the same reverence as the great Blackouts of the 60s and 70s where everyone just bumped uglies to pass the time and we ended up with a boost in population. We'll call em the Wuhans or some shit like that.
