I would argue that the indoctrination IS reversible, BUT only when the target of the indoctrination experiences an event jarring/shocking/traumatic enough to force them to reconsider all of their deeply-held beliefs, and most importantly, THEY MUST CHOOSE TO WAKE UP ON THEIR OWN, NO ONE ELSE CAN FORCE THEM OUT OF THE PROGRAMMING.

This is the epitome of the "Red Pill Moment" many ex-Communists, ex-Democrats, and ex-Bernie-Bros are familiar with: something that kicked them out of the hypnotic programming, and finally woke them up after untold months/years/decades under its spell. If you weren't awake before the programming started, it can take a long time for you to wake up from that deep sleep.
