Markets will recover folks. For God's sake don't sell now, start buying. Dollar cost average.
Soon as recovery news starts spreading, markets are going up.
Israel company announced vaccine. South Korea reporting slowing in cases. (China too, but who trusts the Communist Chinese government? Other than reddit that is. This whole thing is the CCPs fault for censoring their citizens from discussing the virus online for the first month of outbreak).
We'll be fine. Go America. Trump 2020!
Like a rocket ship.

That's a long-term strategy. He's asking what he should buy right now during this big drop that will be the most profitable.
The answer is large manufacturers with supply chains in China. When Chinese factories ramp back up, companies like Apple are going to have 100% of the production. Small companies are going to be treated as second class customers and won't get any product until the gigantic heavy hitters no longer have backorders in the pipeline.
Apple, Intel, Nvidia, Home Depot, Walmart, basically any tech hardware giant or big box retail that has its own chinese-made brands is a great buy right now and will recover the fastest when it turns around. Smaller companies will have a rough year this whole year because the factories will be ignoring them so they don't lose their business with the behemoths.
Long term? s&p500 or total us market. Short term? Nobody really knows.
I love that everyone is freaking out about the markets as if somehow all those companies are now worth 30% less than they were two weeks ago. Do you really think your shares in fucking Apple are going to be worth less two years from now than they were last week? Do you see Chevron as being an unstable company whose value is plummeting?
Get a grip, folks. Stock valuations are based entirely on people who don't know wtf they're doing getting scared and being preyed upon by people who do. Be calm and sit tight. If you have the cash, buy like hell while all these great stocks are on a fire sale.
