This is what people are shitting themselves over...

Nevermind that other viruses in the past 30 years have FARRR surpassed this.... such as 1000+ deaths before an emergency was even declared.

This is the biggest crock of shit....

REMEMBER WHEN NURSING HOME EMPLOYEES SAID THEY WERE GOING TO KILL OLD TRUMP SUPPORTERS?

3

What ever came of that? Was it just the old "we take this seriously and are looking into it" bullshit, or did they actually do something?

Compared to swine flu in the US: 60 million cases. 265,000 hopsitalized. 12,000 dead. Boy was the MSM kind to Obama through it all. Media only hypes tragedies when it can be used to smear Republicans.

0
Arnied 0 points ago +3 / -3

61 days in Swine Flu had killed 180 people.

61 days in Covid 19 has killed 4615 people.

It seems a lot like you're cheering for 200,000 dead Americans.

I've said this from the beginning. It's all about the $$$. The financial markets were getting very nervous because of all the good news on the economy and it was severely over-bought. All of the market makers decided it was time to crash it. And they used this flu shit show to do it. The market brokers are politically agnostic. They have ways to line their pockets no matter which party is in power. They have no loyalty other than to their bottom line. It's not personal. It's a big club and you and I are not in it. (hat tip to George Carlin)

Oil stocks in general are poised to bounce back big. They are double suppressed by the price war as well.

Although I'm saving my $ right now, it's going to take 3 months to realize the damage this insane shutdown is causing.

Seattle just suspended Habeas Corpus & the 6th Amendment due to the WuFlu, saying that they can’t assemble adequate diverse jury pools & that the virus outweighs a persons God given right to a speedy trial by a jury of their peers. They give no date for when they’ll lift this order. The Judicial branch doesn’t have this power, right???

I’m on mobile, so I’ll link to it in a bit, but it’s called General Order No. 01-20, filed on 3/6/2020 by the US District Court, Western District of Washington. It’s only about 2 pgs & very quick to read.

Here's the link

This should be its own thread. That's fucked up.

15
lanre 15 points ago +15 / -0

I didn't know courts could give orders to the population. I guess they're the executive branch now.

11
RussianLimbaugh 11 points ago +12 / -1

Art 1. Sec 9 of the Constitution allows for suspension of Habeas Corpus under certain circumstances, which has to be passed with legislation by the Congress. The Wuhans doesn’t meet the criteria & the judicial branch is not the legislative branch.

It has a very high mortality rate for the elderly and spreads easily. My guess is that most of them had it by the time anyone identified the first case.

4
Pede 4 points ago +5 / -1

Serioiusly, it's one thing to say it spread around invalids and they got really sick, but when two dozen in one building die then some maid is pulling the plug on life support to plug in her vacuum.

10
Horkers4Trump 10 points ago +10 / -0

Nah, in a nursing home it could just be that one guy who works in the kitchen and is lazy about washing his hands spread the disease to every elderly person in the home. It doesn't always have to be some kind of conspiracy.

1
Arnied 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is EXTREMELY contagious thanks in large part to how well it can survive outside of a host and the mortality rates for elderly are absurdly high.

3
inquimouse 3 points ago +4 / -1

Probably hand-dipping ice with an unwashed scoop and putting it in a bucket to carry from room to room. Then never sterilize the bucket.

14
Choppermagic 14 points ago +14 / -0

so... about 10% of the amount of deaths from falling off ladders each year. And this is causing people to buy out toilet paper?

3
MaxineWaters4Prez 3 points ago +3 / -0

Can't confirm your number, but at 10% in 3 months, that means you're still safer getting the flu than hanging your Xmas decorations.

1
Cyer6 1 point ago +2 / -1

What's the deal with TP? I was in line at Walgreens and both people ahead of me were running back and forth grabbing up more TP. The clerk had a smirk on his face because he's probably been seeing this for the last 4 days. The paper towel/TP isle at the local grocery store had it's TP completely picked over and this is in Texas! Bare shelves. This is almost getting comical and as Rush said today, reasonable people are soon going to grow tired of this panic insanity and will want a return to some degree of normalcy.

8
Cirruspede 8 points ago +8 / -0

No hope required, it is an overreaction. The best stat to think about is that Influenza in America killed more Americans by far in less time than the Kung Flu has killed globally since December.

It's still good to wash hands and don't make out with strangers who are coughing, but simple precautions are all that were needed.

This is the start of the infection, you are comparing apple to oranges. This is the Covid-19's infant stages of infection and can't be compared to anything untill it runs it's course. By the the end of it you could very well see millions of people infected. Take a loot at China for example, who most likley are suppressing their numbers for optics. Over 100k infections that we know about.

5
Happyass84 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yep, and they kept changing the criteria for being “infected” throughout the process. Making it harder and harder for actual infections to qualify for reporting. Currently, I am pretty sure that you have to be in serious condition to qualify... it’s fucked up, and people keep using that info like it is a real representation of true information.

They will constantly bitch about the CCP at any opportunity, but will then use the statistics provided by them like they are gospel.

I am MAGA all the way, but the way people are acting about this is retarded. I was interested in it in early January, and paid close attention to it then... people are acting like because the media made a big deal of it 3 weeks ago, that it is not a real problem, and is only about politics. Honestly, do you think trump would react this way if it was only about fake news bullshit??? No, he would ignore it and press forward, like he always does.

2
FuckRedditCommunist 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. Trump wouldn't shut down the boarder with China and Europe for no reason.. You know how bad that is for the economy? It has to be quite serious for him to do that. These people who think this is blown out of proportion are ignorant to the true danger this Infection proposes on an invdivsual level and a national level..

1
yukondave 1 point ago +1 / -0

He did not shut down trade with Europe. China has been in a trade war with us for some time

1
FuckRedditCommunist 1 point ago +1 / -0

ik, he shut the boarder

5
Brulz_Lulz 5 points ago +5 / -0

What I learned from all this is that if you don't want to die from the king Fu flu you shouldn't smoke and shouldn't have gotten old.

5
IAmNotSuicidal 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well if you do the math most of us died from tax cuts and net neutrality so that is a really big number!

3

4

1
Arnied 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you discard China's bullshit numbers there are 6,264 recovered and 1,801 dead.

1016 of those dead are in Italy.

Spain looks like it's going to follow Italy and is about 6 days behind.

Germany and France are about about 1 day behind Spain.

The US looks like it's about 1 day behind Germany and France.

All countries seem to be handling things a little better than Italy so may not reach 1000 dead in 6/7/8 days, but if not it will be thanks to people isolating a bit and not taking their disease into vulnerable groups like old age homes.

4
cook_does 4 points ago +4 / -0

Libtards are running with this because its the only thing they have. After ISIS wouldn't give them the right to use the slogan "Death to America", they had to find something else.

2

Don't have a site off hand but what i can tell you is:

Seattle area They were residents of a nursing home.

4
LadyWhoLovesTrump 4 points ago +5 / -1

And Seattle is a liberal shithole. The nursing home staff are probably mentally-ill, blue-haired, trans fags who didn't keep their facial piercings clean.

3
BurgerChef90 3 points ago +4 / -1

We're cancelling everything based upon around 150,000 cases worldwide. Not active cases, total cases. Not to mention only like 1500 cases, if that, in the US.

We're acting like there's millions of cases in the world, and hundreds of thousands in the US.

I bet once it's over, there will be less than 500,000 cases worldwide.

Actually, let me be a bit more conservative, I bet there won't be 1 million cases. Didn't Swine Flu infect like 700 million? Or something like that

I'm saying mainly that the restrictions within our own nation and shutting down things within our own nation is a crock of shit. The travel bans and quarantines obviously worked, and continue to.

2
deleted 2 points ago +2 / -0
1
HeavenlyTrumpets [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Well call me crazy but I don't think shutting everything down, especially in areas that have like 1 or 2 cases within a huge area, makes any sense. Also, I do understand that some elderly people or immune compromised people will be more at risk. I don't mean to sound heartless, but... that's sort of just how life and biology work. It doesn't fall to everyone else to suspend their lives and suspend society when there is what has thus far been a very very minor outbreak in our country. It isn't that I want people to die, but I'm just being realistic about it.

I hope you don't have any family members in nursing homes. Seems like a pretty high kill rate for the elderly.

3
HeavenlyTrumpets [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I haven't looked into it, but that particular situation seems really strange... I know it kills elderly at a higher rate, just like most any illness does... but for that many cases to be in one place is so bizarre.

1
Arnied 1 point ago +1 / -0

According to the CDC's numbers it is about 20x as lethal as the flu.

For age groups under 60 the flu is 0.01% lethal, so Corvid 19 is 0.2% lethal.

For someone over 80 where the flu is lethal about 2% of the time, Corvid 19 is lethal 40% of the time.

Threats have been made online to purposely spread the disease to kill off conservatives. A care worker in the UK said she was going to spread it around the residents she worked with.

This needs to be investigated.

1
FuckRedditCommunist 1 point ago +3 / -2

I 100% disagree. This virus is clearly deadly and infectious and has the potential to become a massive problem if left unchecked. The hysteria isn't without warrant. Take a loot at China for example. Over 100,000 cases because of their carlessness. If this isn't prepared for and quarentined to the best of our countries ability then it will cause mass infections and death. It still very may well do that even if we do all that we can. Remember, this is in the infant stages of it's spread and the worst is yet to come. It is unbelievabley infectious and dangerous.

5
HeavenlyTrumpets [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

We'll see.

China isn't the USA.

And we haven't been careless.

4
FuckRedditCommunist 4 points ago +4 / -0

Agreed. Trump faced this problem head on and hopfully that will make all the difference. I'd be scared to think what would of happened if any other shit stain was in office and wasn't willing to close the boarder and face the problem like a man instead of like a little bitch like the Democrats.

3
yukondave 3 points ago +3 / -0

My question is why send elementary kids home from school so they can spend more time with grand parents?

Before a vaccine for chicken pox existed people had Pox Parties and all the kids were invited to play in the same room together and spread the virus.

Why not encourage elementary kids to stay in school and get it and tell old people to stay the hell away from the kids while the national Covid 19 party takes place.

We don't have a vaccine and stretching this out will kill even more.

1
Arnied 1 point ago +2 / -1

Day 61 of:

H1N1: 180 deaths

SARS: 623 deaths

Corvid 19: 4615 deaths.

You're a fucking idiot.

You can't undead people, but you can prevent a lot of people from dying in the first place.

Maybe they think that's why.... cause "It can survive on surfaces for 3 days!" So can basically every common cold and flu virus. My kids happen to have just begun spring break this afternoon. The schools send out emails that they're deep cleaning everything over spring break. I mean, that's fine. It's a good idea. I certainly don't think it's at a "we need to close school" point though.... not even close.

Shit spreads fast in those places. Had a relative temporarily in a care center that had a scabies outbreak. The place went into complete lockdown for 3 weeks, lots of patients got hit with it. Then after she was cleared, she brought the scabies home with her for many more months of problems.
