No hope required, it is an overreaction. The best stat to think about is that Influenza in America killed more Americans by far in less time than the Kung Flu has killed globally since December.
It's still good to wash hands and don't make out with strangers who are coughing, but simple precautions are all that were needed.
This is the start of the infection, you are comparing apple to oranges. This is the Covid-19's infant stages of infection and can't be compared to anything untill it runs it's course. By the the end of it you could very well see millions of people infected. Take a loot at China for example, who most likley are suppressing their numbers for optics. Over 100k infections that we know about.
Yep, and they kept changing the criteria for being “infected” throughout the process. Making it harder and harder for actual infections to qualify for reporting. Currently, I am pretty sure that you have to be in serious condition to qualify... it’s fucked up, and people keep using that info like it is a real representation of true information.
