That scenario is playing out in real time..my husband's last day of work is tomorrow...retirement effective date April 1. We are both sick. timing could not be worse.
I’m sure you’ve either looked into options or spoke with a FA/FP - but don’t role anything into an IRA or otherwise - leave it alone. You’re not locked-in...you only have to take a required partial distribution if you’re 72 or older...once this recovers consider rebalancing or if you’re risk adverse look at moving to an IRA and moving some to long-term CD’s’ BTW: hope you’re just sick about the 401k and not sick-sick.
Thanks for the info..called my advisor feel a little better tonight..and yea I was sick about my 401k and not sick sick..thanks again:) I tried to stay calm through all this..but today it all caught up to me..
