Racism is the cardinal sin that has lost all meaning.

Currently, it's just a placeholder for "I don't like what you're saying but don't actually have a coherent counter argument so I will call you this name and pose as the morally superior victor."

As bad as racism is, the term itself is useless because most of the time it's used as a political weapon and not to describe anything that could be considered objective prejudice.
