This guy on his show just told Geraldo to “cut the bullshit” on live TV.

They were involved in a HEATED debate, this is wild! Didn’t see a live viewing thread so just wanted to post this to discuss with all of you

There was never any evidence of child sexual abuse in the "Finders" group, or even child trafficking. Trouble was, they first came to the attention of law enforcement at a time when the whole Satanic ritual abuse hysteria was in full swing, and many law enforcement officers had bought into it as real. As a result, some LEOs tried to cherry-pick and force-fit bits of evidence from the the Finders into the "Satanic panic" framework they already had in their minds thanks to tabloidy pseudojournalists like Rivera.

There were some minor connections between a few adults who had been involved with the Finders, and the CIA. The wife of the group leader had worked for the CIA 20+ years earlier, and the CIA had more recently used an outside contractor for some computer training for CIA employees, and some members of the Finders worked for that company. Thing is, the group was based in DC and northern Virginia, and in that area, there are a LOT of people who have worked for the CIA or for a CIA contractor, most of them in pretty mundane capacities. It's a lot more likely that the leader of the Finders convinced some of his nutty followers that they were "working for the CIA", than that they actually were.

It was definitely not a healthy environment for children, or for adults, but there's no evidence that anything going on in the group bore any resemblance to the crazy tales that Rivera and his ilk were spreading and inspiring about "Satanic ritual abuse" of children and young adults.

That whole hysteria resulted in many, many children who had never had anything bad happen to them, being relentlessly pressured and coached to "tell" about disgusting and in some cases literally impossible things that had happened to them, doing permanent damage to the children. And several innocent adults ended up spending years in prison as a result of the false testimony that the children were bullied into giving. Juries believed the outlandish tales because they'd been getting fed outlandish tales by the media and told the tales were real.

Yeah, read the docs, and lie to me again.

Good luck, shill. I hope they pay you well.
