My wife works 4 10s so friday mornings are for grocery shopping. She just texted me that the local big chain store is packed and people are being stupid. She always goes early morning to avoid crowds but even at 7am it’s insane. Good thing we have always been low key preppers. This panic is direct result of the msm whipping everyone into a frenzy. Stay safe out there pedes.

Yep. Told her to bail out if people start getting too close. We don’t absolutely need anything right now anyways.
Or people fighting over toilette paper spitting all over the opponent.
LOL
Yes, you prep for freakouts. That's inevitable. I see it every time there is a hurricane. A water storage tank sure beats 300 little bottles of water that = 2 gallons.
This has always been the best way. Even more important in our crazy world now, who knows what the next msm-created panic will be.
I bought some of the stackable 5 gallon containers for my emergency water supply before the virus started in China. The price of them has almost doubled since then.
OK, people are afraid to go to theaters because of the risk, but are going to pack themselves into stores?
I am From SE Michigan but now live in Ohio. I am in a smaller town north of Dayton. About 35K people. I went to walmart thursday about 11 am. Place was Packed like it was Christmas. All the Toilet paper, Kleenex and Paper towel was Gone. People were starring at it and taking pictures and talking about it.
I then went to Meijer, Place again was packed with people. I go to the TP aisle to see if they had any. They did and there were about 25 people in that one aisle, grabbing everything like a Christmas sale.
Thanks Media.
Hysteria begets hysteria. But it also works the other way around. Optimism begets more optimism. All of us need to be the change you want to see. Don't mention this shit. Just do the fearless thing every time. It's very simple. Think about the choice you're about to make due to indoctrination and fear of social stigma. Then do the exact opposite. You think I'm kidding. I'm not. Wash your hands and take copious amounts of imune boosting vitamins. Then in due time you'll be laughing at how retarded your family and peers were acting during this time. This is a gut check pussies!
SPEZ: If you're 80+ or immune compromised, this comment is not for you. If you are and feel like it is, then you are a badass!
Not much we can do about it. We've used our wealth for 100 years to keep failure people comfortable. Now they might be the majority.
Based hurricane country... I bet all the liquor is gone though!
I swear the list of reasons to move to SC keeps growing, that state just seems based AF.
it's beginning here in ne al, and we don't have a single known case in the entire state. my guy stopped at the dollar general to pick up various items. he said the tp was almost cleared out, and anything having to do with hand-washing was gone. no aloe gel. no wipes. but plenty of bleach, water and everything else. i rescue, and Lord knows...i use the bleach. i also had plenty of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and soap and sanitizer, bc...critters. my own personal fear is that i'll run out of bustelo, almond milk and milo's sweet tea if we have to self-quarantine. falls gracefully onto the fainting couch imma stock up today.
I shopped yesterday for the normal groceries we need. We were actually out of toilet paper so I toddled over to grab some. There was hardly any left. But I did score a 12 pack of Charmin. I felt stupid buying it like some panicked idiot. I wanted to tell everyone, seriously people we’re out, legitimately no tp at my house.
Came home and scrubbed my hands. You would think Safeway would refill the bacteria wipes at the front door for your shopping cart! Hello! Get a clue Safeway.
I went to Costco the other day because my wife and I usually compile a list until it hits critical mass then I go. Well, about a half hour before opening, there was already a line of 50 shoppers. When the warehouse finally opened it was absolute mayhem. People rushed directly to the back where the paper towels and water bottles were. Most of the crazies only came for the paper towels and toilet paper which sold out in minutes. Many who waited in line much longer than I ended up not getting anything and were pissed. Costco management didn't help the situation by letting people cut in line and not imposing a per-customer limit.
apparently they're anticipating a return to a cashless bartering system and they think toilet paper is a valuable commodity in that economic system.
Even in the meat department of my store we're affected. For some reason people are grabbing up our ground beef, 90/10 in particular, in huge quantities out of all things, and the stuff isn't even on sale!
I'm in northern Ohio. Wife wanted me to pick up some normal stuff after work. Siiiiigh. It's gonna be a shit show isn't it
