Hearing old (old, old!) clips of Biden speaking, he really was slick as hell. It's easy to see how he became a professional grifter, ahem, politician. He had the look, the hair, and the voice (and the appropriately low-to-non-existent moral standing) although it's interesting to note that even thirty years ago his off-script "snappy comebacks" were pretty lowball, erring on the side of mean-spirited, but hidden in comedic timing.
