Don't we already have open borders with California? I too think the EU is too "diverse" in the sense of differing languages/cultures/governments. I also think that they are very stupidly pushing towards a more centralized EU government. However, as it stands RIGHT now, this very second, the individual EU countries enjoy power and rights far closer to the states rights our founders put in our constitution.

Make no mistake, I'm not saying those commie globalist fucks are doing the right thing, but on a "State" level, if we compare each country to one of our states, they are (unfortunately) closer to state sovereignty than we are.

Again, they're pushing to fuck it up, but "freedom of movement" for free citizens is not something we should hold them to account over. Imo, anyway.

Yes, Shengen Area is only for people already in EU, so in theory, citizens of individual member states, like it is in US when going across state lines.

Individual member states still maintain right to close their own borders, as show by many that already did it.

People outside of Shengen still have to go through passport and visa process (assuming they are coming in legally, of course).

However, distances between civilization in Europe are much smaller than they are in US, we do not have several hour car ride worth of desert between cities...

California's Borders are open in spite of her people. Majority of Californians want the southern border well regulated. Its just Pedowood, San Shitsco, and Shitramento refuse to actually let the feds do their jobs. Something about trafficking underage children to work and diddle for their own enjoyment.

Point still stands though.

A good portion of California would love to wall off San Fran and Sacramento if they could. Yet CA would have never been much of a liberal hellhole if Reagan didnt bow to Democrats with his 1986 bill.

I agree, the shengehen zone or whatever the hell its called is just like the US except each country still had the sovereign ability to control their own borders from outside the EU. So they still got fucked from the policy.

You're 100% right except in the United States federal law is the supreme law and overall the culture of the United States was designed to be the same although it has lately been fragmented. There are of course some subcultures but nothing like the completely different thinking between nation states in Europe. I challenge anyone to say that the French and Italians and English are the same really in any way oh, because they definitely are not..... and just a quick edit to point out that they each have different immigration methodology and policies
