I'm all for bringing back manufacturing, but before that can happen on a significant scale, we'll need to dismantle a huge mountain of labor-related laws that make it prohibitively expensive to manufacture here, and that's going to be politically impossible in the foreseeable future. For starters, we'd need to get rid of unions, get rid of minimum wage laws, get rid of government-mandated benefits, and get rid of all the laws that make it easy for workers to sue companies for alleged racism, sexism, ageism, etc.

We should also eliminate our labyrinth of taxes, specifically those on corporate income and capital gains.

Yeah, China definitely needs to pay for this.

Fuck China and fuck the markets bring back our manufacturing of life saving drugs. Cheap drugs don't help anyone if they're not available!

Tariffs, both import and export, and customs duties should burden all our enemies. China should also have their Most Favored Nation (MFN) status revoked back to how we treated 'em prior to Richard Nixon opening up trade relations with those commie bastards! In contrast, not a single tariff or custom duty should be levelled upon any our allies, and all the better if our Congress and Department of State can negotiate a trade deal that ensures they return that same gesture of peace.🕊
