All the game subs I was at, outside shittydarksouls were bitching and melodrama. I wanted tips, cool videos, discussion of classes loadouts etc. Modern Warfare was a cluster because of this and as a 35 year old single player guy, it was my first big foray into online multiplayer shooters. I like Anthem, good luck discussing it without hate. Stellaris Console was a good subreddit small enough to not get too many shitdicks. Reddit is a shithole.

You have to find the niche ones to get the actual conversation and real tips. For example the WoW subreddit is all fanart, stupid jokes, and memes. Good luck finding a single player who actively posts there that is part of a top 500 guild.
