Just in case anybody had deluded themselves into thinking the media has lost its power.

The media is every bit as powerful as it has always been. The last few weeks have proven that.

I’m pretty sure my family and I have already had it and it sucks, but most people will survive it.

Here's a scary thought I had. The Wuhan China virus won't even kill a thousand people in the US. A few hundred at most is my bet, since we're now leaving the flu season. (Next Winter may be a different matter). Now, if we went to all these extreme measures to stop a few hundred extra people from being killed in this case, why wouldn't we take at least the same measures in the case of the flu, which will kill far, far more?

Isn't it odd that Bill Gates is funding a big flu clinic and study in WA? I've yet to see a mission statement for that organization, tho I have to admit I haven't look all that hard yet.

Notice all the stories recently about how pollution in China and Italy has dropped dramatically?

Are people driving in their cars as much? Are people staying at home more?

We sure are doing a lot of things that the globalists want us to do right now.

What if they plan on effecting their radical transformation of society with constant pandemics, yearly pandemics, whether serious ones they manufacture, like maybe the Wuhan China virus was, or even more ordinary human influenza strains that kill tens of thousands a year?

Rush was talking about something along these lines. Everything that is happening as a result of this incredibly overblown, overhyped virus just so conveniently happens to be exactly what the left has been hoping for for decades.

I think the idea is that they can't stop it, but if they let it go without slowing it down, it's bad enough that more people would need hospitalization than the space available and that slowing it down will give us a chance to make more space before it gets that bad, thus saving lives.

That's my take on it anyway.

Still, I don't like the idea of forced quarantine of entire cities and all the crap that goes along with it, especially if it's going to spread anyway. What I do like is what the President has done so far to try to mitigate it which I think will be enough without getting in shaky constitutional grounds. Once the government gets it's foot in the door on controlling people, it's not easily removed.
