Derp State was all ready to set GEOTUS up to fail by turning his attempts at virus control into a three ring circus using embedded deep state actors to make him look bad at every turn.

When he got on TV today and told everybody he's partnering with CEOs of business to address the logistics and challenges they face, he effectively told Derp State he will not be requiring their services for the duration of the PANdemIC. After which, they became apoplectic.

Change my mind!

He also cut regulations in the medical sector. So those outrageous bills you get are all the hoops and trip wires that they have to wade through to do their job. Will give a clear picture of how much we could save by cutting those regulations permanently.

Magic Wand in action.

63
Pres-Trump 63 points ago +65 / -2

Funnily enough about 20% of medical field jobs are because of regulations and Obamacare. They need about ten people per hospital (300 bed+) to comply with regulations. I worked with several, and even some of my job was making sure that our emr complied. This will probably mean layoffs for non-clinical people in those positions.

37
JamesColesPardon 37 points ago +38 / -1

...they could learn to code?

16
Pres-Trump 16 points ago +17 / -1

Those positions actually do kinda code... it's electronic medical record code, but it's code.

28
Tallsie 28 points ago +29 / -1

We would love to have them doing something else then. Fake (regulation created) jobs are never good jobs.

16
minotaurbeach 16 points ago +16 / -0

Fake regulation created jobs for people that do little but filing and sorting mail for three times the pay a business office job offers - and they get medical benefits of an upper management team.

4
Pres-Trump 4 points ago +12 / -8

I've thought a lot about this, and if these kind of jobs are worth saving. Although I disagree about the regulations, it's not these people's fault. Most of them are RNs, that will go back to being an RN. But there are a subset of IT people like me that have these jobs because of their IT background, and some of them will lose their jobs for nothing more than not being an clinician. It's just not as simple as giving them new jobs, they'll get laid off. I think deregulating is a good idea, but I never knew it would affect the people around me. And I guess that's the kicker...

25
Tallsie 25 points ago +25 / -0

It doesn’t change my point though. If you create a position with a regulation out of thin air, you just fed the proverbial wild animal. The more you add to a foundation-less job (Wild animal being fed), the more people you get working in that field (The ecosystem falls apart the moment the free food fails to come).

I am sure your talents would help solve the world’s problems elsewhere. We can’t allow the politicians to create jobs that do nothing more than funnel money to their lobbied interests who act as middlemen.

-11
Pres-Trump -11 points ago +3 / -14

Didn't Obamacare make it more laborious in terms of paperwork than it had to be..I mean with all the rules and regulations..that is what I heard..the amount of paperwork put a strain on what RN's and Dr.s should be doing. Too much paper pushing going on so to speak..

The problem is many of them don’t understand what falls under each CPT code and take providers word for it. Just because a Doc submits a Level 3 consult/follow up doesn’t make it so; yet we’re left to fight the bill.

37
Bigus_Dickus 37 points ago +39 / -2

Yes, and by enacting the "National Emergency" he literally increased his powers SUBSTANTIALLY, including to control US companies(indirectly if not directly) and in many other areas signalling that he was having none of the BS flu panic fear mongering garbage the DS/media are selling.

10
Toezy_Weezer 10 points ago +11 / -1

What changed?

21
Bigus_Dickus 21 points ago +23 / -2

Basically...

.

edit: For instance, the last time he did so it allowed him to fund and use the Marines to get involved in building the border wall when the Dems/DS refused to fund said solution to the border crisis. The specifics seem quite broad on his increased capabilities(others might be more knowledgeable than me on this) but, from what I have read at least, with the media laying the groundwork with all their fucktarded fear mongering they have essentially zero room to complain with nearly anything he would want to implement within semi-logical reason.

In other words... Trump, for the 1,054,873rd time played them like a fucking fiddle even with them deciding the game to be played.

13
Tallsie 13 points ago +14 / -1

Yea, the only option these idiots would have now is to sue him for a national injunction against this state of emergency. The media just spent a week destroying the markets with an over the top narrative about how he wasn’t doing enough, so should they try to stop him now they will really have to put their foot up their own ass.

This truly is some 4D chess.

10
Ackshually 10 points ago +10 / -0

If he can get some progress cutting regulations and partnering with the private sector, it would really be a great high-profile success story.

I spent some time working for big government agencies early in my career. The amount of slow, lazy, rude, entitled paper-pushers on fat salaries was appalling and probably responsible for turning me into a conservative. I would love for everyone else to witness what I did and push these overweight agencies out of the picture.

Wasn’t it she who should be locked up that likes to go around spouting “It takes a village to raise a child”?

So, using that philosophy, Trump gets the businesses to work together like Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue and work on a solution to stop the spread and lessen the panic. What they do instead? Whine.

I hate them at the moment. The only thing I can do is wish they all get explosive diarrhea.

Do you suppose this is why the CDC was worst in the world when it came to testing? Seems almost deliberate. I knew there was a problem with the first infection in Tempe AZ on a college campus with nearly 100k students and they were refusing to test anyone that didn't recently arrive from China. The timing of this, the very precise r0 seems so weird.

11
rooftoptendie [S] 11 points ago +12 / -1

YES. And the idea would be to bungle the whole thing start to finish 'on accident'. FEMA. CDC. DHS. State Dept. DoD. It would be kind of like a Derp State "smoke em if ya got em" moment, just a big pile on.

Not anymore, bitchez. He just took it entirely out of their hands.

7
inquimouse 7 points ago +8 / -1

The best job the CDC does is gather and disseminate statistics. It's boring maybe but essential. The basis of statistics is counting and where it all goes downhill is counting the wrong things, and I think the CDC and Surgeon General have both gotten to be political tools to push political ideas about health.

5
Elanea32 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah but it’s all Drumpf’s fault because he cut funding to the CDC, fired all the good people, refused to take test kits from the WHO, took forever to initiate a travel ban, ad infinitum. He rolls a tank over the Mostly Shit Media every single day. After that brilliant news conference, where he had the top dogs of businesses, that we all shop at, speak to us about how they are partnering with POTUS and the VPOTUS to solve this problem, he reassured the public. The enemedia and Dems want so desperately to have this be viewed as a failure. You can see that with their nasty questions. The American public sees who is working to solve problems and who is just fanning the flames of division. After this is over, the President needs to develop a task force to find a cure for TDS.

COMPLETELY AGREED

I believe the shut down of various events across the country has only been so effective because of the control the Demoncrats and Deep State has over various local, city, county/parish, and state governments.

The City of Houston declared a state of emergency and began to cancel events held by, sponsored by, or those that just so happened to take place within their city limits without A SINGLE CASE OF THE CHINA VIRUS IN THEIR CITY LIMITS.

Only way to avoid deaths in this situation is to, not be at war with the Globalists for American Freedom and not, let China set loose Corona Virus on its Hong Kong protesters. Be it that this is war, death is inevitable, it's just how it is.

If you buy in snd the stock goes down more after buying you should take the opportunity to buy more of the stock, driving down the average price you paid per stock.

5

He also made a point that, in time of an actually declared National Emergency, he can grab some money and use the far more capable private sector.

I'm sure he doesn't expect them to work for free, over a false panic. Like progressives would. And they were ready to claim why we need a bigger government while using the currently extremely bloated government to fail at this latest contrived crisis.

He even took a stab at the cost and time of the Obamacare site which never did work, by saying Google had 1700 engineers on it and would have it immediately ready.

I find it interesting that the hospitals are "freeing up beds" to make room. Why are there people there already? If they can go home, free up the beds and send them home. Don't need the Corona to do that, they should be doing it already. I guess most healthcare is really a scam.

https://www.fa-mag.com/news/new-york-adopts-war-footing-to-ready-hospitals-for-virus-surge-54624.html

"The 55 hospitals in the city can free up as many as 4,425 beds in the event of an emergency, mostly by giving an early discharge to patients who aren’t critically ill, according to a 2013 study."

So at least 4,425 people are paying for something they don't need.

1
residue69 1 point ago +2 / -1

Their insurance or Medicare (taxpayers) is paying for something they don't need.

Years ago I was working on some equipment near a hospital conference room. I overheard people in the meeting complaining that patients weren't receiving medical care and the hospital was just running out the clock on their insurance.

1
Spunkush 1 point ago +1 / -0

My theory is that when he saw that trying to do the right thing of calming everyone down wasn’t working and he was just going to get criticized for it he decided to go way overboard in the other direction and make it seem like he’s way overreacting so that the media will STFU and start telling everyone to calm down. All he wants is stability right now so that we can react quickly and intelligently to everything going on with China right now and he’ll play whoever he needs to to get it.
