Germany is out of control. All the news outlets say the same thing, no leadership. Hospitals likely to become overwhelmed, lots of closings, on brink of recession.
They have not installed a travel ban out of political correctness. Some supermarkets emptied out of toiletries. Newspapers saying based Austrian PM has shown balls but Germany not doing anything.
Why do we even help fund WHO when they release information AFTER we have already made our policy decisions: Trump bans flights to Europe. Who “Yup yup yup. Good idea. Definitely the epicenter.”
Trump knew what I knew - a whole lot of Chinese were desperately fleeing into Europe and trying to get through Europe into the USA (and Canada too).
One of them, a Chinese trying to get western goodies, he made it to Italy but couldn't go to the USA so he returned to China.. ...with the Wuhan virus.
The downside is China is now pretending that foreigners and Westerners are bringing Wuhan Flu (or The American Flu as they now want it known) but its foreigners bringing it in.

In total seriousness, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world while facing this. We have responsible, competent people leading this and the resources to fight it. Even more, I know Americans help each other on the neighborhood level.
Epicenter and origin are different things. Origin is where it first came from, which is definitely China. Epicenter is where it is most highly concentrated.
China got their Wu Flu epidemic under control. It was a brutal crackdown, but they did it. Although they are really following Trump's lead here.
Europe has not gotten things under control. The WHO is probably right on this one.

They literally dragged people by force, locked people inside, put monitoring drones with cameras and speakers live-streaming the streets so they could see if two or more people gathered anywhere and order them to disperse, and could see if anyone out alone had his/her mask down, so they could order them to wear it properly.
I'm in no way saying that this kind of government power and abuse is okay, but it's certainly easier to control the spread of a virus when the government can do to their citizens even things like putting bars in front of their doors or weld them inside their homes so they can't go out in the streets.

And if the number of cases in Europe is greater than or catching up to the number of cases in China then it's the new epicenter because that's the most likely area for people who are infected to travel outward from thereby spreading the virus further and further away from areas with the highest concentrations. or epicenters.
