A militia is an important directive of the constitution but by its nature is in place to protect freedom, not be a protected freedom. Militias have been squashed in this country going back a long way because by their nature, they are meant to protect us from the government which is also also supposed to protect your right to protect yourself against them.
This is more a sign that militias are necessary now more than ever,p but it will always be a right we have to protect and fight for ourselves.
Is that not 'the logic' behind the ability to Nationalize the states National Guard? I recall too well some ill trained National Guard soldiers who got sent to Viet Nam for combat duty. Can you say 'body bag"?

I’d like to see if the complete story comes out, if the police officer is disciplined (beyond procedural leave), and if the victim’s family presses charges. That means it's worse than a red flag incident. A red flag, by definition, is supposed to bypass a warrant because the threat is supposed to be so great that action is needed immediately.
